What's New in Palworld 1.0

The 1.0 patch is the largest content drop in Palworld's history, marking the game's official "full release" status. Here's the high-level breakdown of what changed:

All 72 New Pals in 1.0

The 1.0 update added 72 new Pals, including 5 new Legendaries (Eidolon, Bellanoir, Xenogard, Frostallion Noct, Jormuntide Ignis) and several Sunreach-exclusive species. The full list of new Pals is integrated into our PALDEX with complete stats from Fandom Wiki.

New Legendaries

• Eidolon — Found in World Tree, Dark type, with the unique "Soul Drain" partner skill.
• Bellanoir — Sunreach exclusive, Dark/Fairy type, drops Legendary Cat Cake.
• Xenogard — Sunreach exclusive, Dragon/Psychic type.
• Frostallion Noct — Ice/Dark variant of Frostallion, drop from Sunreach boss.
• Jormuntide Ignis — Dragon/Fire variant, replaces old Jormuntide variant.

Sunreach: The Floating Island Region

Sunreach (天阳乡) is a new floating mystery island accessible after defeating the first Tower Boss (Faleris). To reach Sunreach:

1. Defeat the first Tower Boss (Faleris at coordinates -150, -50)
2. Travel to the Sky Jewel Tower (central map landmark)
3. Use the new Skycraft glider to ascend (requires Awakening Lv.3 on your mount Pal)
4. Land on the floating islands east of the central mountain

Sunreach contains 23 new Pals, 4 dungeons, and 2 new resource nodes (Sunite Ore and Lunarite). The level range is 45-55, so bring a team of Awakened Lv.5+ Pals.

World Tree: New Endgame

The World Tree is the new endgame zone unlocked after defeating all 5 Tower Bosses AND completing the Sunreach main quest line. It's home to:

• Level 60-70 Pals (including Eidolon)
• 5 new raid bosses (respawn weekly)
• Exclusive crafting recipes (Awakening Potion, Special Cake)
• The "World Tree" story ending

Awakening System: 10 Levels

Awakening is the new long-term stat progression system. Each level consumes Awakening Potions and grants a permanent stat boost. The full table:

Maxing a single Pal to Awakening Lv.10 requires 370 Awakening Potions total. The potions are craftable at the High-Quality Workbench once you unlock the recipe (Sunreach quest reward).

12 Mutations Guide (New: Divine & Fierce)

Mutations are now a core progression system in 1.0. They stack multiplicatively with Awakening bonuses. All 12 mutations:

Each mutation requires baking bread (3 bread flour per mutation = 1 bake at the kitchen). The two new 1.0 endgame mutations cost more:

• Divine — Requires 3+ existing mutations + 9 bread flour (3 bakes)
• Fierce — Requires 2 ATK mutations + 6 bread flour (2 bakes)

1.0 Breeding: 164 Special Combos

The 1.0 update hardcoded 164 special breeding combinations that override the default paldeck-based breeding. These cover most Legendary variants and many rare Pals. Examples:

• Relaxaurus × Sparkit = Relaxaurus Lux (Dragon/Electric)
• Suzaku × Ghangler = Suzaku Aqua (Water/Fire)
• Frostallion × Helzephyr = Frostallion Noct (Dark/Ice)
• Jormuntide × Helzephyr = Jormuntide Ignis (Fire/Dragon)
• Kitsun × Astegon = Blazamut (Fire Legendary)
• Petallia × Cinnamoth = Bellanoir (1.0 new Legendary)
• Incineram × Maraith = Incineram Noct (Dark/Fire)

28 Breed-True Pals

Breed-true means breeding two Pals of the same species always produces that species. 1.0 expanded the breed-true list to 28 Pals. This is essential for farming specific passives or for breeding the strongest individual Pals for combat.

5 Tower Bosses Now Breed-True

A major 1.0 change: the 5 Tower Bosses (originally only catchable as alphas) are nowbreed-true. This means:

• You can breed Faleris × Faleris = Faleris (was previously impossible)
• Same for Grizzbolt, Orserk, Lyleen, and Shadowbeak
• This makes getting Lucky / strong passives much easier
• Required for completing the in-game Paldeck (all 287 caught)

Top 10 Tips for Palworld 1.0

1. Don't skip Sunreach — The new region has the best materials for endgame crafting. Get there as soon as you beat Faleris.
2. Awaken your main team first — The stat boosts are massive. Focus on 5 combat Pals, not all 287.
3. Bake Special Cake in bulk — Required for 164 special breeding combos. Make 30+ before starting breeding projects.
4. Farm Awakening Potions daily — The Sunreach dungeon resets daily with 5-8 potions per run.
5. Combo Legend + Mythical mutations — Multiplicative stacking gives +35% all stats, which outperforms single-target Legend.
6. Use the Tower Boss breed-true trick — Two same-boss parents always give a non-alpha baby. Essential for Lucky rolls.
7. Don't waste bread flour on Small/Large Build — These don't stack with stat mutations. Only use on dedicated farm Pals.
8. World Tree requires 5 Awakened Lv.5+ Pals — Bring your best. Level scaling is brutal.
9. Cinnamoth + Petallia = Bellanoir — One of the easiest Legendary breed combos in 1.0.
10. Backup your save — 1.0 has known save corruption issues on PS5. Cloud save is your friend.
